About The Hall

Mt Nimmel Community Hall is a beautiful, compact heritage space located in the lush Austinville Valley, about 10 minutes drive from Mudgeeraba.

The Hall is now over 85 years old and it exudes a particular rustic charm with its cedar lined walls,  large  covered verandah, high wooden beamed ceilings, gardens, lawn and pizza oven.

Find out more about the hall’s history here.

Events At The Hall

The Hall serves as the social  focal point for the local Austinville community.  Its warm rustic charm has made it a particularly popular for all types of events.

In recent years, a tradition of attendees coming in fancy dress has developed for dinner and dance, trivia quizzes and other community events – hosted by the Hall committee. Before all community events, the Austinville anthem is sung (with gusto!).

The hall also hosts many other types of events, such as birthdays, weddings, wakes and meetings.

Weekly fitness classes, such as yoga and meditation are also held at the venue.  You can learn more about Lois’s yoga class here.

The hall capacity can cater for around 80 seated guests.
